About Us
The Treasure Valley Master Plumbers Association
1. TVMPA holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, January through May and September through November. At every meeting we host a guest speaker with information that is important to the trade and our businesses.
2. TVMPA is a huge supporter of the College of Western Idaho apprenticeship program. We have members on the apprenticeship board. One of our projects has been to endow the Ron Ginner Scholarship. The endowed scholarship will be given to the top 3rd year student graduating into the 4th year program. We are also providing incentives for excellence for the other years for the program as well. We are proud to be involved in development of the new lab at the College of Western Idaho.
3. TVMPA is very active at the legislature, regarding all legislation that affects the plumbing trade. We feel very strongly about defending our industry from the many special interest groups that are increasingly attacking it! Examples: Defending the IAPMO codes against the aggressive supporters of the ICC codes, opposing a poorly drafted contractor licensing bill, opposing county option (which creates multi-hat inspectors and substantially weakens the uniformity of plumbing inspections), and more.
4. TVMPA is the only organization that is dedicated specifically to the plumbing trade in the Treasure Valley.
